Meet Sonia.

Hello! I’m Sonia Diab, the founder of Status One. I’ve trained hundreds and hundreds of professionals in sales, as well as organisational leaders, customer service professionals, tech professionals and professionals in the non-profit space. After falling in love with selling, I became obsessed with human behaviour. My obsessions ranged from influence techniques to body language, behavioural profiling and personality, language associations, negotiation, leadership and, ultimately, how to get the outcomes you’re seeking with others.

My passion is understanding why and how people do what they do, and my mission is to create a new generation of ‘Human Experts’;

who have a deep foundation of knowledge and skills to not only read others, but understand them, influence them, and collaborate with them for mutually beneficial results.

In a new era defined by technology and globalisation, we need the skills of human connection and influence more than ever before.

At the end of the day, a business is only as good as its people. I am of the strong belief that whatever we do, we should do it well – and the way to do that is with a focus on improvement through learning, training and implementing consistent action… Oh, and having some fun along the way.

In my spare time, I engage with personal projects, at the moment particularly around millennial leadership and intergenerational communication and motivation challenges in the modern workforce.

Sonia Diab - STATUS ONE

When and why?

First established in 2015 with individual coaching, Status One has been providing live group training since 2016 to businesses including car dealers selling Mazda, Nissan, Hyundai, Holden, Volkswagen, Honda, Toyota, and more, in addition to businesses in the tech space and a non-profit organisation.

In 2019, after great demand, we have also launched our online division (Status One League Online, or SOLO) for individuals and businesses.

Status One was borne out of a passion for human behaviour, sales and results. Although there are so many tools out there that can be utilised to enhance our communication, influence and leadership skills, and although most managers would agree that training is imperative, there simply weren’t any courses out there that were:

  • Tailored to the business and specific industry market;
  • Incorporating well established principles;
  • Based on the latest in behavioural science and psychology, and not stuck in the past with old school techniques that don’t work anymore;
  • Using the latest in consumer behaviour and behavioural profiling;
  • Practical with real techniques that get results;
  • Engaging enough to keep you awake long enough to take it all in!

That’s how Status One was born. In a consistently changing market, the modern business faces more competition than ever. Establishing consistent processes that work, and understanding the best way to effectively service customers is the key to retention and differentiation.

With a firm belief that training should create a culture of learning, rather than a one-off event, we facilitate modern modules founded on experiential evidence, best practice, and the latest research in behavioural science. We understand that training needs to be engaging, relevant and practical to have a long-lasting impact. We provide techniques that professionals can actually use, and dedicate ourselves to delivering training that blends theory with practice.
